Garmin has announced the second generation of Marq, comprising a fresh set of luxury smartwatches over the line that first debuted in 2019.
Like before, the collection will be made up of several distinct tool watches. However, this time around, there's only room for five in the lineup - the Marq Athlete, Adventurer, Golfer, Captain and Aviator (as ordered in the image above).
Each 46mm case is now made from Grade-5 titanium and features a design and band type to help it match its namesake's discipline, with the other big improvements over the first-gen devices being the AMOLED touchscreen display and the improved battery life.
Garmin indicates users should now get around 16 days of juice in smartwatch mode, which is up from 12 days in the first generation. Interestingly, a new magnetic charger will also halve the charge time to one hour, according to the company.

The Marq Gen 2 lineup will feature roughly the same feature sets - and, as you would expect, they all boast a similar array of health and tracking metrics to something like the Fenix 7 or Epix 2 - though there are a couple of neat features the company is debuting here.
The first is Jet Lag Adviser, which takes the wearer's sleep history and other tracked metrics to help deliver recommendations regarding sleep schedule, light exposure, exercise, caffeine intake, nutrition and more.
Garmin indicates this is designed to help both frequent travelers and athletes making journeys to participate in events, with users able to enter details into Garmin Connect pre-departure in order to track their internal body clock.

The other new feature is something Garmin is calling SatIQ. This is essentially a battery optimization feature that allows the Marq Gen 2 device to automatically understand whether it needs to track location using multi-band GNSS, L1 multi-frequency GPS or L5 of the same.
As we've seen on recent devices like the Garmin Forerunner 955, this selection has previously been left up to the user, but SatIQ appears to make this process a bit more efficient.

The price for each of the five watches, meanwhile, varies quite dramatically. As before, though, the Athlete is comfortably the cheapest device. All are available now through Garmin.
