Google appears to have edited its Pixel Watch teaser to make the bezel look thinner

Google appears to have posted an edited version of its Pixel Watch teaser trailer - one that shows the smartwatch with a much thinner bezel than in the original.

As we suggested in the original story detailing the Pixel Watch design reveal, Google has so far cleverly disguised the size of the bezel by promoting the device with black watch faces.

And though the bezel still appeared to be relatively chunky, given that the watch faces didn't cover a great deal of the face, it now seems as though Google has sought to alter this original perception.

In a video posted by Google Taiwan, purportedly the same 51-second teaser was posted. However, while the video does appear to be the same at first glance, one eagle-eyed Reddit user has spotted that the watch faces have been edited to appear much larger, thus decreasing the size of the bezel.

What's unclear, of course, is which one is actually representative of the real Pixel Watch. It's possible that either teaser trailer features a more accurate reflection of the upcoming Wear OS smartwatch, and perhaps Google only realized its mistake after the initial video was posted.

Given that the bezel has been very deliberately hidden throughout the drip-feed reveal over the last few months, however, it's fair to say this isn't a very good look for the company.

What really matters, naturally, is how the device - which will seemingly retail for $349 - actually looks and functions in practice, and we look forward to finding out the full extent of this at the company's 6 October hardware event.
