Honor looks to be prepping a new smartwatch and fitness band, which would be the first wearables launched since the former Huawei off-shoot was sold by the Chinese tech giant.

Details of an Honor Smart Watch and Honor Smart Band were discovered in US FCC listings, which appears to confirm the pair of devices are on the way.

Along with revealing the type of wearable form factors we can expect, it also lists that the smartwatch will pack an 180mAh capacity battery and the band will host a smaller 100mAh battery.

For Honor's last smartwatch, the Watch GS Pro, it didn't divulge details on battery capacity, but did offer the promise of up to 25 days battery life. Similarly with its Watch ES fitness band, there were no specifics shared on the size of battery it packed, but did claim users could get up to 10 days battery life.

Other than those battery details, there's not much else to really glean from these listings other than the the unsurprising fact that they'll come packing Bluetooth to pair up with a phone.

Its presence at the FCC could indicate an unveiling or launch is not that far away. The Watch GS Pro and Watch ES were officially unveiled in September 2020, while the Honor Band 6 launched in China a few months later.

It will obviously be interesting to see if Honor actually moves away from aping the design of Huawei's wearables and sacrificing some features to make it a more affordable alternative.

We tested the Watch GS Pro last year and while it was an admirable effort from Honor to make a budget outdoor watch, it was let down by some software problems and a quite bulky design.

Will Honor take the outdoor watch route again and will it go with a fitness tracker with a bigger than average colour display? Hopefully it won't be too long before we find out.
