Just as the excitement in Google Glass seems to be dwindling - even Sergey Brin is bored of them - Huawei is looking to liven up the smartglasses market with the launch of its Huawei Honor clever specs.

Not a great deal is known about the Chinese company's effort; the web rumour mill was kicked into top gear following the release of some Honor glasses images on social site Weibo over the weekend.
Murmurs are suggesting a the Huawei Honor specs will pack a 5-megapixel camera, a 640 x 480 display, and gesture recognition. It's stated that the system will run using Android 4.4.

PhoneArena are speculating that the Google Glass rival could be built on military grade hardware, with Lumus' F-16 technology touted in its report.
Whatever the final specs for the specs (see what we did there?) turn out to be, we shouldn't have to wait too long to find out as Huawei purportedly is going to pull off the covers this week.
