Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Watch 3 Active in Europe, and given it a very attractive €39.99 price tag.
The product is still listed mi.com, the Xiaomi website, and has appeared on resellers for purchase in France and Germany, with other European markets expected imminently.
MediaMarkt has the device for €39.99 and Amazon lists it for €49.99 in France and Spain.

The standard Redmi Watch 3 comes at just under $100, so this is a completely different beast. And there aren’t too many globally available smartwatches at this price point.
Redmi Watch 3 Active specs
The screen is probably the most notable aspect of the Redmi Watch 3 Active spreadsheet, and it's been boosted to a whopping 1.83-inch.
However, it’s downgraded from AMOLED to LCD, and packs a resolution of just 240 x 280 pixels in such a large panel. Visually, it’s going to be noticeably lacking compared to the standard Watch 3 – even if it does pump out at a bright 450 nits.
The 289 mAh battery will power the Redmi Watch 3 Active between 8 to 12 days depending on usage, according to Xiaomi. We'd warn this is usually highly a highly optimistic estimation, but it seems as if a good five days of heavy use is nailed on, going by our reviews of similar smartwatches.
The Redmi Watch 3 Active is equipped with heart rate and SpO2 sensors, but there's no GPS or NFC.
Wareable
It offers 5 ATM water resistance and enables Bluetooth voice calls via a connected smartphone thanks to its built-in microphone and speaker.
And it comes pre-loaded with over 200 watch faces and supports 100 sports modes, with 10 "professional" sport profiles, with extra data.

We've seen devices such as the Huawei Band 7 and Honor Band 7 live around the €40 price mark – but there haven't been too many smartwatches from established and reputable manufacturers.
So while the Watch 3 Active is an undeniably basic smartwatch, it's a welcome addition for those looking to test the water with a budget wearable.
