Xiaomi has confirmed the global launch of the Smart Band 7 Pro at its special event in Munich.
The news follows the initial release of the smartwatch/fitness tracker hybrid in China back in July, with the device debuting in the UK and Europe on 4 October for £84.99 / €100.
Naturally, we already know all the key specs and design details, with the Band 7 Pro designed to act like much more of a smartwatch than the standard Xiaomi Smart Band 7 - and much more like something similar to the Huawei Watch Fit 2.
It features a 1.64-inch AMOLED display that delivers 326ppi at 280 x 456 pixel resolution, which is up from the standard Band 7 and its 192 x 490 pixel display.
As you would expect, as well, the Pro model also retains the always-on screen of its cheaper sibling.
It also boasts built-in GPS and 5ATM water resistance, which users can employ to aid the 117 exercise modes, and there are plenty of health monitoring features, too, such as sleep tracking and VO2 Max estimates.
The battery appears to indicate we'll be in store for a big jump up from the regular model, too. Xiaomi says that the 235mAh unit will be able to provide 12 days of regular usage and six days of heavier use.
From what we can make out, there are two case colors - rose gold and black - and eight different strap colors, as well, all of which seem to be silicone.
We're looking forward to testing this one out. Xiaomi's wearables may have been creeping up in price over the last couple of years, but they're still generally compelling options for those shopping on the budget end.
We'll see just how compelling the Smart Band 7 Pro is over the next few weeks.
