Xiaomi has launched its new S1 Pro smartwatch and given it a significant overhaul.
Leading the changes is a larger screen, with a 1.47-inch AMOLED display and 480x480 resolution.
That’s a slight jump in size and resolution from the standard Xiaomi Watch S1, and there's been a reduction in the size of the bezels for an overall improved design.

The S1 Pro also adds a crown to the case, which replaces one of the buttons on the older model.
The case has also changed slightly with amended lugs. There are two options available, black with a fluoroelastomer strap, or silver with a brown leather band.
Both devices have an always-on display, and both use a sapphire crystal for improved scratch resistance over glass.
The S1 Pro has only been launched in China right now, but the Xiaomi Watch S1 landed in the global market, so we’d figure the S1 Pro will too. And it certainly caught the eye of Ice Universe, the Samsung leaker, who showed off a video of the smartwatch – and bemoaned the Galaxy Watch 5’s iterative design.
The Mi Watch S1 Pro, one of the round smartwatches with the narrowest bezel, has a great design and is smooth. (TM Roh look at this) Samsung's recent products, in terms of design, only do one thing, repeat, repeat, repeat, and I'm disappointed. pic.twitter.com/hjFee8NpEm

Xiaomi has also added a temperature sensor to its device, although it’s not clear how this will be utilized as part of the standard health tracking offering.
GPS is on board, as well as a heart rate monitor with SpO2, but there’s no ECG on board here – contrary to what Huawei has done with its Watch 3 Pro New and GT 3 Pro models.
And battery life has also been given a small boost, from 12 days to 15 days. This will of course be shorter during real usage, but relatively, the S1 Pro will offer longer away from the charger.
The Watch S1 Pro only official in China, where it costs CNY 1,499 ($222).
